Ronan Donohue
Ronan Donohue is a London-based former investment banker with more than 25 years of front-office experience in the international capital markets. Ronan was at the forefront of the bank hybrid capital market when it first emerged in Europe in the late 1990s and he has held the position of global head of Capital Markets Solutions or equivalent at a number of banks, including as a managing director at both Rabobank and Dresdner Kleinwort. He has extensive multi-jurisdictional transaction origination/structuring experience, frequently in support of M&A activity/financing. Ronan boasts numerous first-of-a-kind transaction credentials and structuring accolades and was one of the earliest to develop hybrid capital in green format. As founder and managing director of his own consultancy company, Q4 Capital Advisors, he now offers advisory services leveraging his career-long experience and the latest developments in FinTech. He is especially focused on the potentially transformative impact of Blockchain and generative AI on the finance industry and economic activity more generally and has advised the European Commission on innovative funding for the Green Deal. Ronan holds a masters degree in economics and a bachelors in pure economics from University College Dublin, supplemented by certificates from Harvard Business School and the College of Europe in fintech and digital markets, respectively.
