Atul is the Global Head of Debt Capital Markets, based in Paris. He is responsible for the Origination of Debt Capital Markets business from issuers on a global basis, and heads a team of approximately 100 professionals based in key global financial centres. He assumed his current responsibilities in November 2019.

Atul has been with Crédit Agricole CIB for the past 26 years. Originally based in Mumbai as Head of Client Coverage and Origination for CACIB India, he moved to Hong Kong in 2007 to lead the Loan Syndication business in APAC, and in 2015 became Head of Debt Origination and Advisory for APAC. In March 2018 he moved to Paris as Global Head of DCM for Corporates.

Atul has been the Chairman of the Asia Pacific Loan Markets Association ( in 2012 2015 and Director on the Board of the Loan Market
Association ( London 2012 2016).

He has a Master’s degree in Management studies with a specialization in Finance and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Mumbai, India
